These are simple kitchen tools but we use them a lot. So they need to work and they do. My wife loves them and so do I. It great when you buy something that works better than expected. Great buyI am an avid baker and these are by far the best I have found. They don't bend, clean easily, don't burn or melt. Great for mixing in bowls or over heat.quality build, flexible but not floppy, should work great for years to comeEDIT June 2022: Okay, I have to admit that these are getting even better with age, so I've changed my rating to 5 stars. The spatula now scrapes the pan nearly clean of melted cheese or rice krispy treats mixture or today's apple cobbler mixture it wiped completely clean. I don't know for sure whether these utensils softened a little with time/use or perhaps I just became accustomed to using them, but they're awesome. Yesterday, I melted chocolate in a bowl over a pan of water and swiped the bowl clean with the spatula, then used the spatula to spread the melted chocolate over the top of a banana pudding--so delicate work is no longer an issue. Additionally, these are still going strong. They handle the heat or cold and are easy to clean. (We do hand-wash these; our preference.) It is a joy to have something that lasts and that works well. Used for making chili, spaghetti sauce, the meat sauce for lasagne, stew, etc. Did not notice any staining from the acidity of the tomatoes, but again we have the cobalt blue, so lighter colors may vary. The set is working well for heavy foods like meat sauces and hearty stews that are too heavy or too acidic for wooden spoons or too hot for metal spoons & spatulas. The coating covers the entire utensil and doesn’t heat up, so frequent stirring is not an issue for fingers. It’s still not flexible enough to scrape the pot or pan clean, but it is hardy. In short, these are well-suited for pots and pan cooking, not so suited for delicate baking or pancakes.Original post below:I won’t be using these for what I bought them for, but the mistake is mine. So I share this review to help others.I bought this to replace my Wilton spatula set that I use for frosting cakes and mixing delicate batters such as pancakes and muffins. This set is NOT for delicate things. Or perhaps I’m just a clutz. This set is seriously hardy. There’s a metal core, so each is really heavy. And the core extends into the spatula, so don’t expect it to bend to the curve of all of your bowls to scrape out the last bits of yummy batter.So I personally cannot use this set for the tasks I bought it for. It popped the bubbles in the pancake batter, making them go flat. And I got so flustered trying to use it to apply frosting, that I just switched to a different tool. (It is heavy enough that I can’t move it delicately or finely in small motions. I also don’t get the feedback I get from more flexible spatulas—I don’t know when I am pushing too hard or when the frosting is too thick in that spot—you know how you sense those things with some tools, but doesn’t happen with these because they are too stiff.)I bought the blue set. It is a lovely dark cobalt not quite navy type of blue. It’s not for delicate baking, my mistake for not catching that, but may fare better for sauces and soups and stovetop cooking. I’ll try that next.The color is slightly less spring mint and more institutional green than expected but it's not horrible. I had recently replaced deteriorating Tupperware ones with a purple set and had been debating whether to simply get a second of the purple set or try another. This one had the long narrow spatula for getting in the bottom of jars so it won. Much sturdier and feels super secure for all my mixing and stirring whether in a bowl or on the stove. Highly recommend.These are nice and tough. I have used them for making everything from cowboy cookies with everything to plum jam. I like them as much as my PC spatulas.I thought they were all the same, but these are the BEST! I absolutely love them and this will be the only brand I buy from now on. You don't have to worry about them coming apart, it is all one solid piece. They are very firm, so mixing is so easy. I highly recommend!Super convenient to use in the kitchen.
