This fish spatula is flexible yet sturdy. We use it for everything from hamburgers to vegetables and of course fish. This is our second one --.it's a great kitchen tool....and that's not for flipping food items in non-stick pans. Please ignore any negative review that states it scratches non-stick pans. Duh. Of course it does. It's metal & not meant for non-stick pan use. With that being said, I like the size of this fish spatula; it's slightly narrower and shorter than the typical fish spat you find. My only gripe and the reason for only four stars is that I've used it at work twice and it's already loose. I think I'll remedy that by injecting some Gorilla Glue in the handle. Other than that, it works as well as any other fish spat I've had.I hadn't used a Fish Spatula before, but read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I was tired of using plastic spatulas on my cast iron pans and seeing them just melt.I will be honest, I was originally expecting the spatula to be more flexible, but it is actually quite rigid. That is somewhat of a detraction because it is somewhat difficult to get angled properly to get under what I'm needing to flip. Additionally, the edge of the spatula is quite sharp, and actually catches on the cast iron a bit. I think that will improve with time and use.All-in-all i do like this spatula. Would have liked it to be a bit more flexible, but it works :).Love the look (wooden handle is handsome) Love the smaller size (very handy, fits into crock pot of utensils well) Only negative Was expecting it to be a bit more flexible, but I am getting used to it. Would give it a 4 1/2 if there was one.The handle is quite loose; which means food & bacteria can get into handle & escape thorough cleansing. I just hung it up on an overhead tool hanger & went back to my nylon same-shape spatula. Such a shame as this has been my favorite spatula. The nylon oldie has a bit of burned area right at the tip.I have been cooking more fish recently, and my plastic spatulas just weren't thin enough for the delicate fish. This metal spatula fixed that issue. After grinding the bevel and smoothing the steel edges, this is a functional tool with a full tang. The handle feels a bit small but controllable. The most notable flaw was the stamping was so rough that there is a 1/2" long section of the handle where the two plastic pieces do not fit smoothly. It's both a cosmetic and functional flaw since food ingredients can lodge in that gap and cannot be cleaned. This makes getting fish or anything else that's very delicate out if the pan, super easy!!!! I do not advise using on nonstick skillets otherwise you're going to scratch it.Really like this spatula. I've been using it for about 6 months and does a really really good job with eggs, pancakes, etc. The flexibility makes it highly versatile and good for delicate foods. You can't use too much pressure or you'll bend the metal, so I use a more rigid spatula for tougher scraping. Overall very happy, love this thing.the item was good, reasonable quality but the packaging looked like it was used.
