While I don’t particularly care about left or right handed-ness, this is definitively a left hand implement and would be most comfortable to use as such.The quality of steel, polish, design and manufacture are all clearly evident to me and I firmly believe that this was planned to be an item made to last a full lifetime of use (25 or more years based on care).I plan on purchasing and and sending as a gift to other family and friends who enjoy cooking and have recommended several times to guests who have seen it in use. I wouldn’t recommend this for Teflon coated cookware but ceramic, stainless, cast ironic other all metal cookware should be able to handle its use with no problems.While flexible when needed, it is also very durable, light weight, and resilient. Without plastic parts on the business end, this could be left in a boiling pot of oil with no worry of damage (please don’t do that though).
